Whisper in the Ear of God – Allow Him To Be Your Voice
The words that we speak can get us in to trouble, and they can get us out of trouble. There will be times in life when we will have to navigate our personal and business life using the words that we speak. There will be times when we are under pressure and supernatural intervention is needed as the task before us may seem humanly unattainable. There will be moments when it is crunch-time, and we are under extreme deadlines. It is at those times when our words are not enough, that we need to whisper in the ear of God and ask Him to be our voice.
Ask God in prayer that every word that leaves your tongue be His words. Pray that every sentence, and every phrase will be spoken by His Spirit working in you, by His will and not yours. Submit your mind, your will, your desires and thoughts to Him, and ask Him to completely take over for you. Resist the temptation to “shout it out”, and allow God to “speak it out”.
If you will follow this process you will find that when everything is said and done, you will have accomplished more than you could ever have imagined. You will be amazed when your prayers are answered, and the preciseness and exactness of your success will boggle your mind. You will find yourself jumping up and down, fist pumping in the air, thanking God for being so amazing.
You and I know that we pray for this-and-that all the time, asking God to work on our behalf. When it is crunch time and you are in crisis, do not simply ask Him to help you, ask Him to be you, to take you over, and to let His Spirit take over your mind and speech. Ask God to make your tongue mute and your mind blank, and let only the words that precede out of your mouth be spoken by His Spirit speaking for you. We are at our best when He is not only working for us, but in us, and through us.
Philippians 2:13 says that God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases Him.
What a powerful revelation we find here in Philippians. When we give ourselves to God and allow Him to be our voice, and to work in us, this gives us the power and desire to do that which is pleasing in His sight. God has committed himself to affecting our “obedience” for His own good pleasure.
Do not try to be the master of your own destiny. Allow God to be the Master Planner for your life. Human nature dictates that we want to take control of our own lives. This is innate in us from our birth. If we will submit ourselves to Him, He will carry out His will in our lives. This in turn releases Him to do the things in our lives that will lead to our success. Our heavenly Father will gather all of our thoughts and words, formed and unformed and align them into His proper channel as He moves and speaks on our behalf, ensuring a positive outcome.
